The Spondylolysis of the Cervical Spine ; A Case Report

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives : To describe a rare case of the spondylolysis of the cervical spine and to review the current literature regarding the spondylolysis of the cervical spine.
Methods : A retrospective chart review was performed. And cervical spines were analyzed with plain radiography and multidetector computerized tomography.
Results : A 31-year-old male patient presented with traffic accident history and radiographical C6 level spondylolysis without fracture line.
Conclusions : Because of the spondylolysis is a rare lesion in the cervical spine, in cases of the cervicalgia with the spondylolysis of the cervical spine due to traffic accident, history taking, physical examination and radiologic evaluation were done throughly, because of the differential diagnosis with fracture or dislocation of the cervical spine.
